Senior Year

Posted by IsaJ on August 27, 2015 at 2:55 PM

I can’t believe it’s my last year in high school. This is it, my senior year. It’s all beginning to feel real, that bittersweet last first day, the senior lounge, seeing the color red invade the cafeteria and lastly, starting our college applications. It feels like just yesterday we were roaming the halls as freshmen trying to act as if the older kids and teachers didn’t intimidate us. Time is passing by way too quickly and unfortunately, senior year goes by with the blink of an eye. Saint John’s has been my second home for about 14 years. I don’t know what I’m going to do when I have to wake up in a different country to so many new faces. College is a whole different experience, but it’s one that I am looking forward to. There are new rules and expectations, you make new friends, have new teachers, and it’s just an entirely different lifestyle. I am both nervous and excited; it’s a strange feeling, but I won’t get into that. Luckily the year is just starting off, so I’m going to enjoy every single moment of it and of course, help the re16n live on.
