Dear Ms. Erickson,

The time has come where we write our last blog post ever in High School. I must say it had been a great year and it is extremely sad to realize that it is over forever. It is so funny how some of us even became part of this class simply because it fit their schedule, but I disagree, I am sure that all of them now are thankful for the stupendous opportunity in being part of this class. Most important of all, thank you for the 10-minute writing sessions at the beginning of every class. It was fun to have a classroom of constructive criticism and to be able to discuss, vent, and express our opinions of situations in our personal and worldwide situations in a healthy environment, and listen to Richard talk about the daily saint and take his extra minute to construct something beautifully. We have all had the opportunity to share and listen to the different perspectives and forms of writing of many great minds. I have learned and taken inspiration from the works of all my peers in this class and I am very thankful! I feel like it was yesterday when we wrote our literary critics of Metamorphosis or when we wrote our first short story. I must also say how I am so thankful for Membean! I do not think I would have ever been excited to practice vocabulary and be able to recall the words later. I am so glad to have chosen this class and I hope you never stop teaching it. The power of writing is so important and even if we may not all be authors, it is still important. Thank you again for your dedication, memories, and opportunities of this magnificent class. Those who did not take it, missed out on a lot.

Many thanks for the power of writing!

Yours truly, Sariemma Mendez

Don't underestimate yourself and the power of the written word. You are ALL writers because that is what you defined yourselves as in those 10 minutes of class, and that is powerful.
