Ethan couldn’t stand his parents any longer. All the shouting and fighting with his mother and an absent father made Ethan’s life miserable. He just wanted to escape from this world. But that wouldn’t be possible since all the BTTW 3000s were wiped off of the Earth. The BTTW 3000 was a two-passenger vehicle that would take you to another planet in the galaxy, but only in the case of an emergency. The BTTW 3000s were an extraordinary piece of engineering, but because of humankind’s selfishness there were taken off the market and confiscated from their owners. For Ethan, leaving Earth and his wretched parents was a serious emergency, but having no possible way of leaving Earth he resorted to building gadgets in his room in order to escape the realities of his parents.
Ethan always felt lonely, until one day he felt like someone or something was watching over him. Each day would pass by and Ethan felt like there would be hope. He called out one night to whatever it was watching over him: “Supreme Being or whatever it is you are please get me out of this place”. The next night was when it happened. Ethan followed his nightly routine of locking himself in his room and falling asleep to the sound of the whistling trees outside. At 1.00am he heard a noise coming from the garage. Although it was pitch black outside, he felt safe for a “supreme being type of thing” was watching him. When he opened the garage door there he was, Ethan’s father and to Ethan’s amazement he was with a BTTW 3000. Although Ethan hadn’t seen his father in months, he for some reason trusted him. Ethan got into the BTTW 3000 with his father and as they took off, Ethan’s father took off a mask. When the man took off the mask it wasn’t Ethan’s father; it was the “supreme being”. Ethan didn’t know for sure what a “supreme being” was supposed to look like, but he knew that was the person who had been watching over him. Together they took off in the BTTW 3000 to find a home in space.
