The World of the Wicked

Posted by Sofía Cintrón-Schröder on April 16, 2015 at 8:55 AM

I looked deeply into her eyes noticing the grandeur in them. They were so big they could hold great civilizations with philosophers and warriors and politicians and all kinds of amazing people. Her eyes were almost as amazing as she was, but, then, I noticed something odd. Something so unusual it made me question if all of this was even real.

Catherine's eyes were full of life; in them were big, bustling cities and small, tranquil towns. Not one single nanometer was devoid of beauty. Nonetheless, there was also evil present. Big wars were taking place and the inevitable corrupt destruction, found everywhere and anywhere, were destroying the insides of the love of my life.

I asked her how people came to inhabit her eyes, but she couldn't find a way to explain. Catherine's internal agitation distracted her from any external interaction.

Blandly, “let's just say they're large enough to hold them.”

I wanted to help her. I wanted to save her, but what could I possibly do? I needed to give her the freedom she so easily gives me with a simple smile.

“How can I get into your eyes?”

“You'd have to find Dr. Walker.”
