June had just finish putting together the pieces to her new lego house when she heard a strange noise coming from her backyard. It took her several minutes to hear it clearly, but when she did she realized that it sounded a lot like an old car that had stopped in its tracks and was puttering away. Her curiosity strengthened when she heard a loud “clunk” and the sputtering stopped. She went to go look outside and to her surprise found a tiny vehicle that looked a lot like a small truck, but had many distinctions that did not look like anything she had ever seen. She approached the truck and moved around it, touching the blue paint that was slowly chipping off. She noticed that the vehicle was belowing smoke from its top so she opened the hood. Since her father is a mechanic, June easily made some adjustments to the little thing and it started up again but this time made a nice purr. She smiled in admiration for her own skill.

June hopped in the little seat that was inside of the truck and pressed one of the bright green buttons that she saw on the monitor. Suddenly, the truck started to spin rapidly in a counter clockwise motion and the next thing she knew, she was whirling through the air in the vehicle. Although June had never done anything like this, she was not scared, and eagerly took control of the steering wheel. She directed the truck towards the clouds and before she knew it she was floating in space. As she drifted along among the stars, she pressed her big cheeks against the window of the truck, creating a small amount of condensation on the inside. After a couple minutes of drifting, June spotted a small pink planet about ten minutes away from her spot. Because it looked so much gumballs, her favorite candy, she decided it would be the perfect place to explore.

She landed on the tiny piece of pink and slowly stepped out of the truck. Her first steps on this tiny planet felt soft and bouncy. And the air was sweet, nothing like the harsh and polluted air of her neighborhood. After a few minutes of wandering around the land, she discovered a blue cave that had walls filled with small rocks of different colors. She walked around the cave and found a nice squishy spot to sleep in. June decided that day that this planet would be her new home, and her the founder and ruler of it. Her eyes began to close slowly with this nice thought and she soon fell into a small slumber.

June’s eyes flew open a few hours later with the sound of loud screeches coming about two miles away. She sprung to her feet and hid behind a cave rock and peeked over the huge mass. In the distance she could see a large creature that looked like a mix between a hawk and a bear, but instead of having normal eyes it had eyes the shape of baguettes that were green and red in the middle. June concluded that the only was she was going to survive on this planet was if she killed this creature, whatever it was. She scourged the cave for tools and found a mineral shaped like a club. She gripped the club in her tiny hands, let out a scream, and charged towards the creature. It turned its head quickly and spotted June. She ran as fast as she could towards it, and it towards her. As a final act of courage, June jumped atop of the creature and began to smash its head with the club.

Blue and pink ooze began to spill out from its head and it writhed in pain. June finished it off with a final blow to the head, and the animal slowly died at her feet. June looked down at the body and she breathed heavily. “Maybe this planet isn’t so cool after all” , she thought and she climbed back into her tiny spaceship. As she sped through space and saw her own planet far off, she realized that maybe it wasn't so bad after all. She landed in her backyard with a small thud, and pushed her vehicle into a dark corner of bushes. She walked back into her home and sat next to her lego house. “At least I can still be the ruler of this”, she thought as she climbed into the small home and slipped into a small slumber.
