Peaches and strawberries that color my summer sunsets.
Laughter and tears that sum up my life.
Cookies and shattered glass that resuscitate my childhood.
Dreams and nightmares that compose my sleepless nights.
Doubt and faith that my future requires.
Lyrics and pain that inspire.
Secrets and testimonials that write my story.
Who I am.
But it is all covered by the disguise people can see:
My height, curves, and colored hair.
My fingertips, bruises, and simple face.
What I am.
But people don't see my sunsets, my life, my childhood, my nights, my future, my inspiration, my story.
I cover who I am with what I am.
I guess that's the catch to life; you keep the greatest things inside, hidden, under your disguise.
Oops!
Oops, you forgot something.
