Back to the Day of our Initiation as Seniors

Posted by Sariemma Mendez on December 4, 2014 at 11:10 AM

Good evening to Dra. Melendez, Mr. Sanabria, faculty, teachers, family and friends. I am very excited to have the privilege to be able to share a few words with you during this ceremony as the president of the class of 2015, the Saint John’s School Centennial graduating Class.

Junior year has almost come to an end. It will soon be time for our last year at Saint John’s School. Most of us have been here since Pre-kinder also known as Saint John’s survivors and have seen each other grow up and become the unique and well educated individuals in the best school in Puerto Rico. Even with new members along the way, including our last memeber a few months ago, I think we have become a loving family, the class of 2015.

Most of us have been able to experience amazing moment right here at Saint John’s School. Times like making green eggs and ham in Pre-k, the Clown show in Miss Judy’s class, Winning salsa competitions two years in a row, going to Guajataka with mr. Porrata, visiting the bioluminesent bay, flying kites with Ms. Erickson, class bondings at cidra, tournaments, our fabulous Empire State of Mind fashion show, and countless additional events.

These memories have helped define who we are and will stay in our hearts forever.

We still have many more to experience before we graduate and Tonight we add yet another experience to that list - receiving our class rings.

Now I look back and remeber this special day! I can rember the dozen picture showing our hands with our rings and the smiles. I am pround of all that I have accomplished and all the memories I have had with my class. It is going to be ver hard to let go, but if any of you fellow classmates are reading this, just remember, you all have a place in heart where I will never forget each and every one of you.
