When did we become uncomfortable with who we are?

When did we become uncomfortable with who we are? Really is there a period in time where everything clicks and suddenly we want to change everything? Is it because we want to so desperately fit in? It is because people criticize the way we look and we want to stop the hate? Why is my question? There is this stereotype in our society in the way we want must look and it is hard. From experience, I know not being the skinniest girl in the grade has always made it hard to fit in not being able to wear gorgeous clothes. It is hard to embrace myself when we are constantly pressured by society to change. I wish that as adults the things we would like to change is to be able to fly or have shark teeth instead of the size of our forehead or ears? Why? Why? Why? It has come to a point where if you cannot fit the part, you most probably will end up alone. I want to be able to stay the way I am and be happy. Unfortunately, It is very difficult. Unfortunately it will never change. I love the way I am. Yes, I am not perfect or the most beautiful, but I am me and that will never change!
