I’ll throw it back to my first day in Saint John’s , ninth grade. It was about 7:30 am. I was in the cafeteria… I did not know anyone… Now what? I did know Amanda Hequin, so I asked her if she could introduce me to some people in my grade, so she introduced me to Anna and Nicole.
We started talking and all of a sudden Nicole told me, “Come with me!” I was pretty excited to know where we were going, only to realize that we were going to the bookstore to pick up some of her notebooks…
After this, the day started off. Everyone was comparing schedules and I realized that I did not have the same history block as everyone else. I saw that I was placed in World History II as a freshman and everyone else was in World History I.I felt special, ha haaaa the new girl that’s aheaddddddddd…
So I got to Ms. De Félix’s classroom in the first block, I sat down, and I saw how everyone else looked way older than the people I had been introduced to earlier. Odd…
When the teacher started taking attendance, I was not called. I was worried. She asked who had not been called so I raised my hand. There she told me that this was a class of sophomores and I must have been incorrectly placed here. Great. As a freshman… in a totally new school…with the wrong schedule...
