How can I choose a song from a billion songs that exist? That is favoritism! How can you choose one out of the millions that send the same message? I might have favorite genres, but songs, never. They are just too many good ones to choose from. Although I consider myself somewhat well rounded, my favorites are Top Hits, I know that it is not technically a genre but you know what I mean. Some of you might be thinking, “Ew such a follower and not original. You should listen to alternative.” But really, there are following other people’s music too. I religiously listen to Hot 102 every morning and afternoon except for those days my 4 year-old sisters wins the fight and we are stuck watching Backyardigans. The only reason she wins is because she it too cute and difficult to resist. Back to the original topic, I cannot pick a song and as an excuse why, I have diagnosed myself with a disease I call Song-Burn-It is. It is this terrible disease that happens when you hear a song in the radio on the morning ride and one song sticks to your head the whole day, but you do not get to choose the song, your mind does. What makes it such a terrible disease is I have to sing a song all day nonstop all day but only with made up lyrics because I can never correctly learn a song. So you see it is a serious dilemma and the only cure is to try to listen to a song you really know and see if it sticks. If not, I am stuck with bad luck, like for example, getting frisbees thrown at my head. Ahem… Kelvin!
