Marcel always stares at me as if I'm an alien. Everytime words come out of my mouth, he gives me this disdainful look, as if I'm a disgrace to society. About five seconds ago i began to tell him about my disturbing experience with a pigeon in the cafeteria... he rolled his eyes and sighed. The only thing he forgot to do was tell me "que me quede en el gate" and that "I'm sooooooo embarrasing". Why do you do that Shelly? Why? Why can't you ever stare at me as If I were saying something insightful or look at me as if you understood me, letting me know that I am acually speaking Engish and not Swahili. I will embrace the day that Marcel actually pays attention to the stories i am always so excited to tell him about; however, i know that on that day there will be something seriously wrong with the world.
