Wrote It Post New Entry

One More Day

Posted by Yaelle Shaked on April 30, 2014 at 9:20 PM

Everything has come to an end. I have been thinking of the last day of high school for a very long time but now that it is here I am in disbelief. The senior class of 2014, the young and goofy people that entered the first day of high school nervous and excited for what awaited them, is now leaving their school and friends behind as they enter a new unknown environment. As a senior, this last day means much more than being done with high school. Tomorrow, I will be exiting a place that I have spent 8 hours a day 5 days a week for the past 13 years of my life. Tomorrow, I will be parting ways with friends that I consider practically my family. Tomorrow, I will be saying goodbye to all the people that have guided me and have educated me about the world I live in. Tomorrow, I am leaving a place that has provided me with the necessary resources to become the person I am today. Tomorrow is the beginning of a new phase. I don’t know how I will react and I don't know what this all means but I do know that I am thankful. I am thankful for having the opportunity to be part of an incredibly special community. Saint John’s is were I grew up and it is part of who I am.
