Whenever I think about flying, I think about Peter Pan and how he used pixie dust and happy thoughts to fly. What a strange combination –pixie dust and happy thoughts. I can't help but wonder how is it that J.M. Barrie was able to come up with that. Yet what a lovely thought, two very beautiful things put together and the outcome is the marvelous ability of flying. To fly and let yourself go, break boundaries and be free of your inhibitions. I guess that's why Barrie chose pixie dust and happy thoughts –when you're happy, you feel light and free, you don't doubt what you can do, you don't possess any limitations. It's as if you can do anything in the world, add some magic pixie dust and you're set.
"The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it." –J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan [The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up]
