Long before the coming of animals to the Earth, the only being in existence on planet Earth was the goddess of the sky. Alone and all powerful, the goddess of the sky felt content with her situation. After many centuries however, the goddess grew bored, tired, and lonely and longed for a new source of excitement in her life. After many daysof pondering about how she would be able to make her life interesting again, she devised a brilliant idea. The goddess of the sky decided she would makeherself a son. As the sun lowered the goddess murmured an enchantment and fell asleep on top of a cloud. The next morning she awoke to a precious baby boy sleeping besides her. This baby boy was pure to heart and always did everything hismother requested of him. He always had a beautiful smile on his face and rarelyshed a tear. As the years passed, the little boy began to grow up becoming more independent. Soon the little boy became tired of playing in the sky and decided to start playing in the Earth. Every morning the young boy would go down a staircase of clouds to the Earth and crawl in the dirt, climb on trees, andswim in the oceans. However, as soon as dinner would come around he would always return to the sky with cuts, scrapes, and bruises all around his body.Every evening the goddess of the sky would become anxious and would ask “What happened to you, what have you done to yourself?” and the little boy woul dreply “Nothing mother, I just fell off the trees a couple of times and scratched myself with the rocks in the dirt.”After contemplating the matter for several days the goddess of the sky determined that she had to put some kind of padding on the ground to ensure that her boy would stop injuring himself. She decided to create an organic green padding that would spread over the entire dry surface of the Earth. Shenamed this green padding grass which protected her son from getting injured. Now, the goddess of the sky was able to rest knowing that her son would be safe while playing on the Earth.
