Politics is such a disgrace. Two days ago the US government shut down because the Republicans and the Democrats couldn’t come to an agreement over Obamacare. These political leaders are supposed to run the country; they are supposed to set the example to fellow citizens. However, they are incapable of reaching a “happy-medium” because both sides are too proud to surrender their beliefs or even consider the fact that their ideas are wrong. They are not willing to reach a compromise; they are going full-heartedly into the laws that they think the government should adapt. But what if ALL of them are wrong? What if no single man in the Senate knows what is the right choice? Who tells them? If they act as leaders by listening to each other, considering others options, and working together they might find the perfect solution for the Obamacare issue. Instead of swallowing their pride and trying to reach an agreement, these men have put thousands of government employees on the streets. Citizens look upon them as leaders of the country, therefore, despite the differences each political party holds, they should unite and reach an agreement that will benefit both the high and low income class in the United Sates.
