Years of being told to not fall in love at a young age

Years of keeping my feelings inside

After so long the feelings just stopped

And now I'm being asked "Why aren't you in love?"

Maybe I haven't found the right guy

Or maybe the right guy doesn't exist

He exists in my mind, but my mind isn't reality…

Why won't the bright light in me just turn on?

Flip the switch,

And turn back time,

To bring back what once was mine…

I've been told love is for all and love is for some

It lasts forever yet ends with time

Love is simplicity, but it's complicated.

I ponder- Is it natural to feel this way? And what is love anyway?
