The American Dream

The American Dream The American Dream is defined as the personal happiness and material comfort sought by individuals in the US. However, throughout every generation the idea or the dream that composes the American dream changes. Now a day the American Dream mostly consists on being wealthy, having a job, living in a big house and having a family. Nonetheless, not everyone in society has that same American Dream.

My American Dream is far from ideal or most common American Dream; it consists of being a good mother and wife. After having been a witness throughout my childhood and teenage years of how dedicated my mother has been to us, I have realized that I want to be like her. She is the core of the family; she is what keeps us from fighting; she is the string that holds all of us together. She has been there for all of us and carries along with her the burdens of our preoccupations and failures, but also she celebrates our accomplishments as much as we do. I want to be that type of mother and wife, but also a successful professional. I want to be able to go to the college of my dreams and make the most of it for my future career. I live a life full of ambition and goals, which make up my American Dream.
