Kvon Shakil Hurricane

Posted by K Shakil on September 5, 2013 at 10:40 AM

Raindrops fall as the sky becomes dark.

The sun is no longer in control, sabotaged by a darkening hurricane.

Its temper is unleashed upon human souls.

To make us remember, we are insignificant, we are nothing, a speck of dust on the earth floor.

Yet humans try to prove their significance, with their all-powerful concrete buildings,

They live under the protection of their creation

The eye of the hurricane laughs at their attempts to overpower nature.

Instead it attacks the roads, telephone lines, and parks

To cause more misery and suffering.

Men cannot reach each other’s, or the basic necessities that support them.

The hurricane is pleased until the sun sets in

With its light scaring away the hurricane.

Men watch as the sun represents glimmering hope

And to remind humans that sun is the protector, the guard to human life.
