Sick Sick Sick!

Sicknesses, illnesses and intoxicating germs.

Let me tell you something I’ve seen but on my own terms.

Lately everyone’s been getting sick.

It’s just something I’ve noticed; don't ask me it’s true,

But if you pause and you think about it, you’ll notice it too.

I don’t know why my class has been infected,

It could be serious we should all get inspected.

Could be a case of the first weeks of school,

Could be due to that afternoon at Ana’s pool.

Perhaps being together,

In that red couch made of leather,

Is where we’re prone to more diseases

And exposed to all the sneezes.

Or last Friday night, when those cokes were shared,

I can’t help but think that something else was passed on.

You know I heard Ortiz was sick with some cough,

The class of twenty fourteen

Could’ve gotten it from the dean.

Maybe I’m next, since I’m always with y’all

Don’t get me wrong; I love you too pieces

But if I get sick, it won’t be a ball.

Ok. I love this. It made me feel like I was reading Shel Silvertein. Loved it!
