I want to share a piece of writing I liked from a book I've been reading to get my mind off things
"Welcome, once again to the beautiful Sinclair family.
We believe in outdoor exercise. We believe that time heals.
We believe, although we will not say so explicitly, in prescription drugs and the cocktail hour.
We do not discuss our problems in restaurants. We do not believe in displays of distress. Our upper lips are stiff, and it is possible people are curious about us because we do not show them our hearts.
It is possible that we enjoy the way people are curious about us. "
The book so far feels told from an innocent point of view, a person who preocupies herself with thinking about Gat all the time, but also feels deep, aware, and furious about her family's problems, social status, mental and psychological aspects, and about the world around her. I like Gat because he gives her a glimpse of what reality feels like, and about how her spoiled life is non compatible with his.
It is possible she enjoys me reading about her, because I am trying to figure them out, I am curious about the Sinclairs.
