Throughout the past year, I have been closely studying and living among a group of specimens known as the Snamuh. The Snamuh are a highly particular group of living organisms that tend to partake in a set of peculiar activities. Out of all the activities they have, the weirdest one was their use of a hand held device known. These devices have been created with the main purpose of being able to communicate across the world with different people by memorizing a set of numbers (which don’t really have to be memorized because you can store them inside of the device). This device seemed to control every action the people have made. People would literally have their eyes and attention planted on the screen of this device, not even communicating or interacting with those around them. These devices send some sort of digital letters as a replacement of talking. The Snamuh are focused on their phone, defeating the purpose of using it for communicating, and instead they seem to talk less to each other. I have heard different names for this device, but the name I have heard the most is “phone”. There are different types of phones, some that flip up, some that slide up, and other that are just there. Most of the phone work with the use of touch, and some of these can even open up by scanning the DNA of the Snamuh. The Snamuh also practice a weird ritual which is called “the selfie”. The Selfie is a practice mostly done by the Snamuh going through the teenage phase, although some of the Snamuh that are older try this act but sometimes fail completely. This act involved the use of the phone to take a sort of freeze image of themselves. This act can take up to 5 minutes finding the perfect image. Once they found the perfect image, they proceed to share it with the whole world using a tool in the device known as Instagram. This tool doesn’t really serve a purpose, except for the Snamuh to feel liked and important.
