It was the day before lent started, they call it Fat Tuesday and a festival started. Not a single soul could be added to the streets of New Orleans of how packed it was; people were shoving each other to pass through from place to place. Then all of a sudden music starts playing, and in the distance machines start to appear. People disperse; half to one sidewalk and the other half to the sidewalk parallel to it. These machines started going through the streets. The machines were filled with decorations, which were all purple, green, and gold, on top of them. People were also on top of these machines dancing and throwing balls and beads. People would go crazy to catch these items. After the parades the streets filled again with people walking.

These people are talking extremely loud to each other, even when they are right next to one another. They also started talking in gibberish, as the day went on people started slurring their words and their comments starting getting weirder and weirder. Women would go up to a balcony show their lactose-making part of their bodies to the world. Men would cheer from the streets and throw beads to the women. It’s funny the more they cheered, the more beads the women got. Sometimes the women would coconuts, but this was not usual. Hours of this continued. People started getting worse and worse.

As the night came to a close people were sleeping in a sidewalk and countless people were throwing up, they did not have the audacity to get to their homes for some reason. People in yellow capes came in with a red trick, which had hoses attached to it and poured water all over the streets once they were deserted. After they passed, the streets were clean, well cleaner, and anybody who was still outside left. This happened for a whole week, the same thing every day for seven days.
