Since the beginning, music has been very present in my life. I played the violin until around fifth grade. The older I got, the more I hated playing violin. I thought it was soooo uncool. When I finally stopped playing violin I got into guitar. I went to the music store with my dad to pick out a guitar my size. I fell in love with a red heart shaped guitar. I didnt care if the sound quality wasnt that great. It was just so pretty and so cool, I had to have it. It would totally boost my “rockstar image”. (Theres a picture of me wearing sunglasses and posing with the heart shaped guitar somewhere). I played guitar for three or four years and then dropped it because cool, angsty, middle school me did not like discipline and practicing every day. I started playing the ukulele in tenth grade because I saw a lot of people on youtube doing it. I bought my uke while I was visiting my cousins in florida. I was pretty awful when I first started but I like to think that I have improved. Ive recently picked up the guitar again. I love playing it, especially the electric guitar. I love the baby calluses I get on my fingers when I play for too long. I love the way my guitar feels and sounds (actually, its my dads guitar). Its red and was designed by Eddie Van Halen. Tuning it is very difficult because you have to adjust the things (knobs?) at the bottom before you adjust the ones at the top. I dont really know how it works but my dad does. Right now, I have my eyes set on a Standard Telecaster. OOOh boy that guitar has the most beautiful tone ever. I cry. Im currently trying to figure out how to play “Had Ten Dollaz” by Cherry Glazerr. The chords online are weird so I have to learn by looking at a videos of the band preforming the song live. Its tough. Guitar is also tough on your hands especially if they are tiny like mine. My small hands cannot stretch far enough for some chords. They cramp so I have to stop and massage my teeny tiny hands. Its hard but hopefully ill get bigger hands or something.
