Wrote It Post New Entry

I am a writer.

I am a daughter, a sister, a friend, an enemy, a niece, a cousin, a student, a girl, a peer, a granddaughter, a great granddaughter, a nephew, a teenager, and a human. We are all many things in this world. But, am I a writer? A writer is a person who writes, whether it’s a book, a story, an article or an essay. Therefore, we are all writers. However, some people have the ability to sit down and write a thought-provoking and inspiring piece in an hour or two. I envy those people. For others, writing is a challenging task. Nobody is a bad writer; we are just different. Imagine how boring the world would be if we all wrote the same way. Writing makes us distinctive. Sometimes, I stare at a blank piece of paper for hours because I can’t think of what to write. The difficulty is that there are no rules to writing, just guidelines. Everyone’s work is unique; it’s their own thoughts and opinions. Those who seek approval of their work are unsure of it. Asking for suggestions in order to improve it, however, is reasonable. Nothing is wrong or right when it comes to writing; but criticism is helpful because it may help enhance your work.

I am not a good writer and I always ask for help or look for approval. I don’t like reading my work aloud and I don’t like when others read my work either. I don’t know why, but I like to keep things to myself. I have never considered myself a writer. I have never really thought about it, but everyone is a writer.
