I am a writer. I love writing, and it is what I do. No, I do not write because I hate reading. If I hated reading, why would I write something for others to read? I love words and I love seeing how others play with them, but I love putting words together myself even more. I love dealing with the puzzles that storm by mind when I am writing and I do not like something I just wrote. I particularly do not like what I have written when I do not feel like I am delivering my message to the reader. I am a writer and what I ultimately do is share a message through ink on paper. By doing that, I comply with my duty of at least thinking or believing that I got my point across to the reader. Once I do that, my writings are no longer mine. My writing now belongs to any pair of eyes that is reading and analysing my words. My message now means nothing, and it is entirely up to the reader to arrive at a conclusion of the meaning of what I wrote. It can be the complete opposite of what I wrote, and that is fine with me. To say someone's interpretation is wrong is to say his or her opinion is less than mine, and that is something I do not have the right to say. After all, aren't we all writers?
