The ocean is not special.
Nor is the tide, weaning and crashing.
Its smell is not distinct,
its sound, nothing far from dull,
and the salt is nothing but epidermic layer on my skin.
The waves, the ocean, they are not special.
Give me quiet, diluted pastures.
Give me cavernous mountain ranges.
Give me snow-ridden cities & desert dunes,
and maybe I'll know special again.
But the ocean, the waves, the water...
they are not special.
