I dream of a future where I publish discoveries and insights. Where those who read my articles marvel at the work I am helping to conduct, because discovery is rarely a solo-gig. I dream of a day where the fruits of my labor culminate into a quiet paper that screams of revelations.

I dream of being a researcher, of publishing scientific journal entries, of understanding this world just a little bit more, of sharing that knowledge. When I look into the future, it is with a hopeful gaze and my fingers crossed, because while it is presumptuous to assume I can amount to such greatness as a new discovery, I know that I am capable of giving my all to a team of workers. I do not ask to be a sole harbinger of wonder; I simply ask to be a part of the process; to understand that I worked towards an end.

I see essays and term papers and research papers; I see late night at libraries, I see a desk covered in open books. I see the near future with college at the horizon, and I see the future I hope my education amounts to.
