Never thought that would be the last call.

Panicked calls,

Distant calls,

Unsettling,unanswered calls.

Locked doors

Unanswered doors

Broken down doors

Ambulance doors

Cold metal doors.

Empty house.

Empty space.

With a now empty bed.

Empty air where a sigh of relief could have gone

But didn’t.
