If I knew that nothing would change, I would divulge all my secrets and let everything that weighs on my conscious simply float off and disappear. Hopefully never to be heard again. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. Speaking what you actually felt, what you actually thought just guarantees criticism on your unfiltered thoughts, just propelling those emotions you tried to release.
At the simple sign of distress, those entrusted with your raw emotions, strike back attacking the truth you try to reveal.
You are privileged. You have no right to feel that way. Others have it way worse. You are so melodramatic. Then those words sink in.
It’s exactly why at least I keep it in. True emotions are judged no matter who you are, where you grew up or how you were raised. That is why we must live with the immovable weight of thoughts upon our shoulders.
