Life is a Highway

Posted by Emily on October 4, 2013 at 5:55 AM

We are all on the same highway, driven by our own morals shaped by society. We are all different, defined by the dents and scratches we have. We follow some for our entire life, leaving others stalled behinds us, while sometimes we are the ones who get left behind, and can only wait for someone to help us carry on and move forward on the road. At times, we take breaks, we make necessary stops, and sometimes we may breakdown. We have to pull over, assess the situation and correct it. Sometimes we merely patch the problem, ignoring it until it is eventually breaks us for good. But unfortunately, there is no way to completely fix something that has already been destroyed, broken over and over. The scars can’t be seen but they still exist, weighing the car and following it the rest of the road until it reaches the end.
