Ever since I was a little girl, I enjoyed mixing substances to see what the possible outcomes could be. Then, as I grew older and began watching NCIS, my attention was always drawn by Abby, the chief forensic scientist of the TV show. Not only was she cool, but she also dealt with the chemicals that led to discovering the criminal. In school, I would never miss the science nights because every time I attended I would learn something new. In...

Today, the whole futsal team begins a new chapter in our history. Our first practice will be today, thus commencing what will be our final season in a sport together. Its a very bittersweet day, Im excited to play and start practing what is probably the thing I love the most, but I am also sad thath this is the beginning of the end. I love this sport and I love these teammates, every single one of them. We have gone through hell and back, and although we don't always have to get along, at the...

I have lived for the past seventeen years of my life surrounded by hot, humid air. Rain is sporadic and snow has never touched the ground. Puerto Ricans would be worried if it did. Four million people in a hundred by thirty-five mile island. They say it’s small, but it doesn’t feel like it. The site of a five year old building next to a two-hundred year old house is not surprising. The beating of drums makes the call to dance inevitable. “La tierra del Borinquen, donde he na...

Your heart turns black when it is good bye
But this, what we had, was never a lie
There are no excuses for one another
so we can blame us and stay with each other
my heart lights up when you say those words
“I love you” are the words I hope to deserve
Took me weeks, not days nor seconds to spare
I still remember when you said that and your hair
Your beauty and spirit is most mesmerizi...

I feel like what people choose for their three things says a lot about them.
I would choose a life-time battery life phone that has the purpose of streaming unlimited amounts of music. I would bring a hamock for obvious reasons. Lastly, I would bring a watermelon. Why a watermelon? Watermelons will feed me and hydrate me at the same time due to the amount of water it contains. Then I can plant the seeds and keep on growing watermelons.

Presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, stretched out her hands towards the sky in a sort of victorious manner. Her polls were up by .5%, something worth celebrating. “Yes, the the youth of today is beginning to like me more” she thought as she secured her backwards baseball cap on her head and mounted her hoverboard. “Tonight, we meme!!” she exclaimed as she majestically rode her hoverboard into the cosmic void. “Whip!! nae nae!!! on fleek!! yaaaasss!!!! netfli...

It was January 9th, just eight days a new year, and not normally a special day worth the anxiety that was rattling my rather tiny body. More specifically, it was twenty minutes to one on that January 9th. Twenty eternal minutes of pure anxiety until I would know whether or not the next four years of my life would be spent as a Yellow Jacket. My sister and I were in the middle of discussing just that when she urged me to check my email anyways because apparently she had received Georgia Tech...
